ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Advancements in materials characterization are
destined to become a hallmark in the 21st century thus
enabling the crystalline materials with diverse
application. In recent years, rapid progress has been
made in material synthesis and characterization,
driven by the need for novel materials and materials
processing techniques for ever-evolving technologies.
The properties of nano materials are dependent on
the preparative conditions and are often quite different
from their bulk material. Hence, nano material exhibit
disordered structure, low-density void regions,
impurities and grain boundaries. Albeit enormous
scientific and technical advancements, studies
continue to explore the fundamental mechanism of
material formation through X-ray diffraction. In this
regard, various aspects of material characterization is
the frontier topics to learn for any researcher entering
into R & D venture as also the college and university
faculties who intend to up-date and broaden their
knowledge base
