SAHARA 58th SENIOR MEN NATIONAL BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS AT ALAGAPPA CHETTIAR ENGG. & TECH,.,KARAIKUDI

The stage was set, the spirits soaring high as the Indian boxers returned to the domestic arena for the Sahara 58th Senior Men’s National Boxing Championship. The tournament, considered to be a bastion of nation's best and brightest talent, witnessed boxers of the country vying for title of National Champion. Over 275 boxers from 36 State and Board teams participated battle it out for the prestigious title in the 58th edition. 40 medals were awarded in the contest that happened from the 5th – 10th December’2011.

The event was organised by the Tamil Nadu State Boxing Association under the aegis of Indian Boxing Federation and is the last national championship in the IABF calendar for the year 2011.
